Your garden is a very important part of your home. It speaks a volume about you as a person and how thoughtful and caring you can be even if it is towards plants. Therefore, it is unwise to randomly plant just any trees within your garden. It is important to take various factors into consideration when choosing trees to plant. Factors like Garden size, the speed of growth, size of the tree at maturity, and others. In this post, our very good friends from screen printing Portland have brought you a compilation of 5 trees that will adorn your garden beautifully with their relative advantages and disadvantages.

White Beam: A beautiful deciduous tree with nice leaf arrangements and attractive flowers. Whitebeam has a nice appearance and is sure to stand out in any garden. It produces berries that are edible and which also provide an attraction for birds of various species. Nothing brings you closer to nature than the beautiful chirping of birds early in the morning and at other times of the day. Another remarkable feature of this tree is the fact that the leaves have a normal green color above, but are colored white on the underside. This gives an interesting visual effect when winds blow raising up the leaves. Coupled with the reflection of sunlight, the White Beam tree will practically light up your garden. However, this tree grows to a full height of 82ft and a width of about 33ft. This means it will take up quite some space in your garden, and you may not want to plant it if you don’t have too much garden space.

Pompon Tree: Although this tree is indigenous to South Africa and may be considered exotic by, it is still a very good idea to experiment with growing it. The pompon tree has beautiful pink flowers and a slim stem that does not take up too much garden space. It is also known to grow quite fast compared to other trees. It is also quite strong, surviving well even in harsh winter conditions. This tree grows to a height of between 19 and 26ft and is your ideal cute, small garden tree.

Dogwood:  Beyond just aesthetic appeal, the dogwood tree also gives off a nice fragrance which will keep your garden smelling nice and welcoming. That said, the dogwood has been around for centuries and people have always been attracted to it for its ornamental appeal with the combination of beautiful white flowers (in various colors pink, red, or white) and nicely shaped branches. The Dogwood will light up your garden and leave it looking all colorful especially in spring. It is important to remember, however, that this tree may not particularly thrive well under harsh weather conditions like extreme heat and sunlight, so you should plant it close to a bigger tree or fence for shade. Also, remember to do some occasional watering to prevent dryness if the rains are not coming in enough.
